Welcoming staff who truly went the extra mile, fantastic spot! Situated super close to the train station, nice mix of nearby pubs and food spots, plus you've got the chill Ona area and city center just a stone's throw away 😊. They're nestled in a spot called the Temple of Funk, which is a cool vibe. Definitely a thumbs up from me!

The property was beautiful, well designed, and had all the necessary amenities. the location was great, close to the train station and a short walk to the city center. the staff at the Ramside Hotel were exceptional in handling any issues and provided alternatives, even upgrading us to a treehouse. the manager, John, personally attended to us and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. the digital key system was convenient and the apartment was stylish, spacious, and clean. Special mention to Mary, who serviced the apartment and was extremely helpful and friendly. the copper bath and huge bed added a touch of luxury. a fantastic experience.

I recently stayed at the Funky Monk in Durham for a weekend getaway. The Friar Nook apartment was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, making it a comfortable and stylish place to relax. The location was perfect, just a short walk from both the train station and the city center. I was impressed by the attention to detail, as they remembered to make up the sofa bed I had requested. The digital key system was also convenient and easy to use. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the Funky Monk.
I do recommend this hotel.
